I have like 42 hours in Ins2 and I mostly played conquer and it was fast paced as hell. Guns have faster draw and reload times, the g3 and fal are still broken to an extent, the shotgun is also still kind of unbalanced when using flechette rounds and for me, some high magnified optics are very much viable for cqc when you have the game zoom in for scopes instead of duo rendering them like in ins2. Sandstorm is a great mix of realistic gameplay and casual gameplay You can enter an enemy spawn (security spawn on revolt), "spawncamp" by holding down 1 of the 2 exits the enemy has to get out of spawn (insurgent B spawn on revolt), not being able to see the enemy due to draw distance (dry canal, buhriz, sinjar are the biggest examples), etc.
When I bought Sandstorm I never came back to Ins2 but I guess everyone has their own preference.

Insurgency 2 vs. Sandstorm Can't help but feel like Sandstorm is just tactical Battlefield, things feel way more fast paced. Being able to become a squad leader, build your own FOBs, direct your own mortar fire, working together with other squads to take out or drive BTRs, Strykers, Technicals, and just learning the game in general feels amazing. While insurgency has an interesting competitive scene and excellent gun play, there's just not as much there as Squad can offer.
Squad is Battlefield but some weirdos drive trucks all round. Can't help but feel like Sandstorm is just tactical Battlefield, things feel way more fast paced. I have about 800 in this and idk, like 150 in Sandstorm. I won't give very much input on IS since I havn't had the chance to play it yet. I have both and the distinction is pretty obvious. Can't compare those games - Squad is a an FPS too, but it demands a lot more than just shooting straight from its players. I think many still say ins2 is more "realistic" is probably because the game was pretty balanced when it came to guns. There is always a noticeable transition between actions like going from walking to sprinting. And that's a bad thing. There was more problems with the maps in ins2 but not for balance reasons.
It's not the same.
Insurgency 2 is more optimized, realistic and fun. It's a much more hardcore system than Squad where FOBs and Rallies can fart out infinite troops, potentially anywhere, at all times.
Sandstorm's to me, feels a lot more responsive and the transitions between actions feels a lot more precise. U know , i play fps since 2003 and did tons of cw. © Valve Corporation. I like the recoil , maps and the gameplay is good.But i think it is too fast for me and i prefer Squad becaude u can concentrate on tactics on a bigger environment. There is more selfcontrol involved. However I did play a lot of the first insurgency and I really enjoyed it.
Clunky movement and slow animations combined with faster pacing. ins2 has a slower movement system but the transitions between actions you perform (like going into a prone position, leaning, aiming down your sights, switching weapons, etc) is very off. All rights reserved. Sandstorm is just too slow and feels like a modernized RS2 but still trying to keep the fast pace of Insurgency and it just doesn't mix well to me.
About Sandstorm, movement and gunplay are better in Sandstorm than Ins2, maps are bigger compared to Ins2.
Large maps with wave spawns doesn't work as well. All ghost recon 1 , all graw, AA1/2/3 PG , Battlefield bc , Red Orchestra ...etc ...to me Squad is a great development of the good i found in each of those games. Insurgency Sandstorm has official weapon skins, case closed. For Squad its insanely slow paced and will feel so weird if you’ve never played a game like it before. It's a lot more complex than that but that's Both games are great but if you want something easy to pick up and play alone just buy Insurgency Sandstorm. When you ads, it's almost instant when sprinting but when walking, its slower and when prone, it's about the same as walking (and this changes between weapons).
(i have to spend more time in it ) .Moreover in squad u can't jump like a rabbit and run all around the map shotting . Squad is still in Alpha/Early Access, so there's much more to come. This game is more tactical than Sandstorm, but the reason why I played Sandstorm more this one are

You play it for those brief moments when people work together with tactics, which is rare because the respawn system is so arcadey and abusable (the only half-decent tactics are like parking an APC on the enemy spawn to block it or other similar gimmicky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t)
